Guess who won TV King and Queen at the 45th TVB Anniversary Awards? It’s Wayne Lai and Tavia Yeung! I love them! I thought that they really deserve it this time round although it was sort of disappointing that Linda didn’t win anything. Michael Tse , Roger Kwok , and Ruco Chan were also not present for the awards ceremony. I was quite impressed by the gowns worn by different actresses….
Tavia in my heart wins best dressed and actress! She wore a truly stunning piece! The silver design on the gown was subtle at the same time shiny, and stands out with the beautiful necklace and ruffles at the bottom! Although I don’t really like the hairdo , I guess it kind of matches?
HONORABLE MENTIONS
I absolutely adore Kate Tsui’s embossed flower details with a peplum gown. This piece accentuates Kate’s figure really well and the necklace does its job and made Kate shin throughout the whole day. Kate’s hairdo was also pretty although I wish she let her hair down with loose curls.
Nancy Wu wore a gown that was really translucent with a surprise backless cutting! This gown accentuates her figure really well and fits her like a glove! The hairdo also goes well with this gown.
Christine Kuo and Eliza Sam were actually really stunning that night! Christine’s old lace gown gave her a hour-glass figure. I love the lace flare at the bottom and obviously Christine’s curls! it’s gorgeous .
Eliza was a hot favorite for the Most Improved awards. She wore a white gown with little cutouts, and the silver details cinch in her waistline … Simply gorgeous , I love her updo too!
I love Fala Chen’s blue lace gown , it gave her a very feminine look. I love her side curls and her jewelery choice . This gown fits her perfectly…she is one of the better ones on that night.
Linda Chung wore a rather conservative white gown but surprised us with a gray spider web cutout… This was not something the quiet Linda would wear but it works fine though; she totally rocks the updo and those pink lips of her….
Cilla Kung! The cute girl decided to wear a white dress with a weird design and the hairdo doesn’t match the dress. She should have left her hair on the side; I love those bling bling.
Host Carol Dodo Cheng wore an orange gown with lace shoulder. I love the jewelery choice . This gown was made perfectly for her! She always has impeccable taste for gowns that suits her body frame….
Niki Chow wore a nude halter gown with stripes for the ceremony … But wait She surprises us with a backless back! So revealing … I love how she kept her look simple and clean with a ponytail and simple makeup….
Aimee Chan’s skin tone is perfect for red gowns. This bustier gown highlights Aimee’s figure and shows off her legs at the same time. Great job Aimee! Moses Chan’s outfit didn’t compliment Aimee at all. It’s an awards ceremony; Moses should wear a suit!
Mandy Wong won the Most Improved Actress award which I thought she really deserved it. She wore a chartreuse gown with a white chiffon underneath. I love her necklace choice….
Elena Kong in a electric blue gown with a red belt to cinch in her waistline. She thought of color-blocking, using a red belt with blue gown…. Good color combo. I would prefer that she left her neckline bare and should do something with her hairdo.
Katy Kung looked really pretty that night , except for the poofy dress that was similar to Cilla’s dress. But Katy’s dress has a more innocent feel to it….
WORST DRESSED
I think worst dress definitely goes to Liza Wang. She wore like an emperor robe to the event. I think that she should wear a gown, something like the Anniversary gala. Her lips are spicy red though.
Myolie Wu was the the best dressed last year! This gown gave me an uneven shoulder impression. The metallic cup was not needed . I would prefer that both shoulders were the same.
Michelle Yim, I’m really liking her in The Confidant. But this gown is ill-fitting and gave her no figure at all. She appeared skinnier than usual. Not a fan of the hairdo either.
